Since there has been an unsuccessful attempt to have our reunion on the signature anniversary year in 2008, I wanted to try instead crashing a place. Meaning, just showing up without making any kind of reservations or committing to any catering packages; although that would be nice. This eliminates the need of finding out an amount of people to commit or making any deposits. It's a win win situation even if only 3 people show up; we will have a good time! We will each buy our own drinks and food while enjoying the evening.
This is what is envisioned. Getting as many classmates involved with input (like the "suggestions for places" topic on the message board) so that it gives the class a sense of involvement with the planning stages. After putting a list together (from all those who have suggested places), we will then post up a poll to find out the top 5 places out of that list. Hopefully, the #1 of the top 5 will let us hang a banner on the day of the event. The banner is to identify that the Class of 1998 is in the house.
It is not realistic to expect the entire class on the day of this event but we want to afford every classmate the opportunity to attend. Once the place is voted on, we will advertise the exact details on our website for several months and continue to spread the word by mouth. This will give those who live in faraway places a chance to make travel arrangements, save the date ahead of time, and coordinate with personal schedules.
My fellow "Indians," it takes a team effort to make this happen if you really want this to happen. I have provided you with an interactive tool to help make this process easier. Your winning option is right here on this table. It's up to you to decide to make this happen. Register today and get involved! Tick tock...
